3rd Gen 4Runner 17mm Ball Mount

Time to replace that broken Toyota dash clock with a new mount for your phone. Attach any mount that fits a 17mm ball mount. Disconnect and remove the clock from the dash trim, slide this mount into it's place and secure it in place with 2 screws on the back. For support, it uses the existing clock mount as well as the dash panel to distribute the load. 

The mount images include a third-party Magsafe mount and iPhone for illustrating how it can be installed and used. This third-party Magsafe mount and iPhone is not included with this product.

Construction

The ball mount head itself is 17mm and made of aluminum. The black ball mount head and stalk is key to ensuring the mount will hold a device in place securely, minimizing unintended movement or droop over time.

The mount body is crafted out of Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate (ASA) known for handling typical high-heat conditions. The ball stalk is attached to the mount body with an M6 socket head cap screw made of 304 stainless steel.

This mount is completely reversible, requiring no trim changes or drilling holes.

Installation of this mount requires a T20 Torx driver to attach the back mount to the mount body. Other helpful tools would include a plastic spudger or other trim removal tool to remove the center console panel.

Third Party Phone Mounts

Example mounts that have worked well in testing include a Lisen Magsafe Car Mount (Model #LISEN-LK2M-BS), SyncWire Magsafe Car Mount (Model #SW-MPH985) and ESR HaloLock Car Mount (Model #2K604). Each of these car mounts include a number of mount styles and accessories. In each case, remove just the mount that attaches to the phone and the round retaining ring to attach this to our mount.
