Designed specifically for 10" and 11" Carplay/Android Auto screens for the 2003-2009 Lexus GX-470. Swap out your existing trip computer with this mount that securely holds the screen. Uses your existing cable that powered the trip computer to provide USB-C power unobstrusively to the screen. Passthroughs are provided for aux cables and backup camera/dashcam cables.
The mount is rigid, setting the screen to a fixed, vertical position. This prevents drooping or loosening screens from ball-mounts, especially off-road. It's positioned as low as possible, while retaining full access to built-in nav unit and ventilation.
The onboard USB-C connector provides 15W of power for the screen, with enough reserve for screens with built-in dashcams and to power connected backup/rear dashcam camera. The connector can be right angle, providing the cleanest looking connection, but may block access to the A/V In connector. The other option is the straight USB-C connector.
This mount does not modify any of the trim pieces and is easily removable/reversible to keep that clean OEM+ look. Cable clutter is an absolute minimum (especially if you add a right-angle aux connector for 470s that have aux input support).
Torture tested in the Southern California summer heat, this mount is crafted in a plastic material called Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate (ASA) known for handling typical high-heat conditions.
These 10" CarPlay/Android Auto screens typically come with one of two styles of ball mounts. Either horizontal 4 post (39mm x 27mm, with 4 M2 screws 20mm and 18.5mm apart), or vertical quad slot (44mm x 28mm, slide snap), both with a 14mm diameter ball. You'll need to check the back of your screen to see which style you have to order the correct mount variant.
On the back of these 10" screens with vertical quad slots, the slots are either low or mid (middle). Low mounts usually have a centered dashcam up high, or a placeholder where the centered dashcam may go as an option on higher end models. Mid mounts usually have either no dashcam camera or the camera is offset to the side.
